At nine years old, he worked on the Jersey Shore boardwalks in a pizza shop, as a line cook, in arcades, and games of chance.

Bill Krackomberger began his gambling career at a young age. In one of his TV appearances, he mentioned that he lost a significant amount of money to a bookie in New Jersey when he was just 15 years old.
Most of his $10,000 debt was a result of his trying to recover his losses, which is why he now advises against chasing losses.
Even though he started betting on sports at a young age, he lost most of the time like everyone else.
However, everything changed when his cousin taught him about favorites and underdogs and how the public tends to bet on the favorites.
He learned that it is better to be on the bookmaker’s side. Despite this newfound knowledge, he still kept losing.
During one of his visits to Atlantic City at the age of 23, he received a call from a friend informing him that something seemed off with the blackjack machines as they were paying out too much money.
Interest, he went to investigate after work and sat at one of the machines. It turned out that the machine was refunding the full stake instead of half the stake on insurance, allowing him to make $6,000 in one night.
More significantly, he met Frank while playing, who would change his life. Frank was a gambler, a sports bettor, and the head of the card counting team in one of the Atlantic City casinos.
Frank shared his extensive knowledge of sports betting and advantage sports betting with Krackomberger, and the two formed a partnership that lasted for the next 10 years.
He and Frank placed most of their bets on foreign sports betting platforms during this period, taking advantage of the bonuses. They also took regular trips to Las Vegas.
Bill used a strategy called scalping to build his bankroll. This involved placing bets on both sides of the market when different bookmakers offered different numbers on the same bet.
This approach allowed him to make small but frequent gains across various markets by exploiting the difference in lines.
Just before the recession in 2008, he had built enough of a bankroll to move to Las Vegas, where he could bet on sports legally.
There, he met some of the top names in the sports betting industry and was introduced to some of the biggest sports betting syndicates in the world.
This further improved his sports betting strategy and allowed him to become one of the country’s best and most well-known sports bettors.
