Well written article, than you. The church, per, Mr Rick Warren, found the type of music as a ‘crossover bridge’ for the churches that are trying to break free, of their Southern Gospel traditional songs and singing. Leaving their background to embrace Contemporary music, they also change their backdrop, intertwining deep reds and black backgrounds, so as to attract those opposed to Christianity, as per, coffee shops, talking tables, doughnuts etc.., they do exhibit one emergent problem, that of the loss of the elderly, who have left off, not attracted to the music and the frock background. There’s a type of body movement that flows person to person within the rank, referenced as “The Sway” which is earmarked for the children of the ministers, and leaderships, with whom ‘succession’ usually falls from grandparent, parent to their children. A lot of these are marked by the familial names embossed upon their schools and church buildings. These also pursue ‘modern tech’ replacing that which they hold as ‘archaic’ which usually adoned a section behind each pew or seat. One of the things that follow these type of churches through no fault of their own (it’s all they’ve known) is that termed a ‘watering down’ in the belief and teaching of scripture. Down that path is aligned many inner-staff related debates and splits, which bleeds over into their folk. It is the time we live in, a very unhappy lot. Churches can now be viewed ‘For Sale’ especially, the smaller who pathed that wide meandering pathways. Again thank you for the well written article, perhaps, you could update the plight of Mr Rick Warren? A review upon request of America- Jeremiah 25:29-38 the cellphone, V5 Internet.
